Hashtags, The New Social Media Trend
Hashtags are not just for Twitter any more! Did you know that Facebook has now integrated the use of #hashtags? They are and it’s great!!!! What a new and unique method to use in your Direct Sales, MLM, Brick & Mortar, Network Marketing, Party Plan business.
You will be able to “fine tune” your niche when looking for new clients or prospects.
Are you fairly new to Social Media? Don’t know what #hashtags are? Here’s what Wikipedia says the definition of #hashtags is: A hashtag is a word or a phrase prefixed with the symbol
It is a form of metadata tag. The # is the pound sign symbol.
Short messages on microblogging social networking services such as Twitter, Instagram, Google+ or Facebook, Pinterest may be tagged by putting “#” before important words, as in: #mlm, #directsales, #wahm.
Hashtags provide a means of grouping such messages, since one can search for the hashtag and get the set of messages that contain it.
Now before I go on with this post I have to admit that I have not up until now been a regular user of #hashtags. Yes, I have used them but far and few between. However, since I have been really researching the use of the tags I came to realize how valuable they can be and are in my business!
So with that said I will from going forward be using #hashtags when I post to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and to Pinterest. In my research I came across several great article on the use of hashtags and why you need to be using them in your business and on Social Media sites.

Hashtags have become a prominent part of the online atmosphere and as of late, more and more social media sites have allowed for the categorizing program known as Hashtags. Hashtags are used to allow users to tag posts, pictures, or even video with a hash symbol (#) followed by a word or phrase, such as #Newtek.
Doing this allows the program to categorize anything posted with that hashtag; this makes it similar to search for related posts. So why did Facebook introduce support for hashtags, which are now searchable and clickable for some users? As other sites have speculated, Facebook (empowered by its acquisition of Storylane) could possibly announce on June 20 a revamp of notes or some other kind of blogging service that would serve as a Tumblr competitor.
